Everything I have done lately seems to have sucked, and this is a stellar example. Composition was even stolen from some anime screen cap I found on the web, and I still couldn't make it really work. Guess I need to keep plugging at it though.

just under a month

It's been almost a month since I posted anything, mostly due to laziness. I have been drawing some, however my power hammer is fully operational so there has been a lot of work going on in the garage for most of that time. Plus, I finally received my planishing hammer, so I'm pretty psyched about using it on the forms I create in the power hammer. The big monster is a direct rip from this guy...found his gallery on deviantart really late at night and wanted to see how he made his forms so I played around for a while. He does some really great work, totally out of my normal range, so it was fun. I'm super impressed with how clean and crisp his work is.

Haven't done much drawing lately...mostly just doodling small little snippets. It was kinda depressing...I went to the art store and realized there wasn't really anything I wanted to buy because I had so many things....and yet I'm still not producing much art.

It's been ages since I posted anything. Over the holiday I started reading Gaiman's Sandman (I'm a bad nerd and have never read these...), and this was inspired by my readings. Done with Art-Kure watercolor brush pens, which have to be the coolest things ever.
