No, I did not partake of today's "traditional" festivities prior to producing this. I was inspired by this guy's stuff, and just couldn't help myself. It's fun to let loose every once in a while.
Three "plus" sized post-its. Although I hate being on conference calls at work, it does give me the oppurtunity to draw some. Something a bit more polished as well...I believe my prisma marker may be needing replacement soon. This particular one has served me well for the last six years though...so the 3 bucks is probably worth it.
Didn't think I was going to make anything worth posting before midnight, but I came in under the wire. I guess. It's not great, but I kinda like the sense of light in it. More of Trayas. This is done in Prisma Marker...
This is an idea for a casting that I am considering doing in aluminum. It will have to wait until I am in the new house though. Ever since announcing we would be buying a house my wife and I have been given tons of hand me downs...the garage is completely full, and there is simply no space for art to take place!
More playing around with my character Trayas. Even put backgrounds in these sketches. The gore one is a bit more violent than I'd normally do, but I just bought some paint and felt like playing with it.
Can't take credit for the concept of this drawing at all. Its a total rip of this amazing artist I just found surfing. His stuff inspired me so much, that I knocked this out in a couple of minutes. His is digital, mine is good old fashioned watercolor pencils and india ink.
My wife and I are buying/building a house, and much of this week was spent doing errands surrounding that...some of which were physically taxing. Therefore little time was spent doing anything artistic. Mostly action studies in stick figure format. Whee!
My wife had to use the computer tonight during the time I usually alot for drawing. (I usually draw at the same desk)...so just a crappy doodle for today. But I was diligent and doing something to post...that counts for something, right?
Small offering from yesterday and today. I did manage to draw characters in an environment. Not a particularly impressive environment...but its something.
